<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) capable of reducing a load of a sound source, while maintaining a specific modulation effect due to in a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) waveform of a long period. <P>SOLUTION: During a check point section (an operation halt preparation state) of one period of the LFO waveform, after all sound outputs are halted, if sound generation by key pressing is not indicated, the LFO 80 becomes in a halt state and output of the LFO waveform is halted, and if sound generation by key pressing is indicated during the LFO waveform halt state, generation of the LFO waveform is resumed with a random phase. Thus, the load of the sound source is reduced, while the specific modulation effect due to in the LFO waveform of the long period is maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
