PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper for a fastening band, the stopper being designed so as to make it easy to loosen the fastening band after it is fastened. SOLUTION: A pair of U-shaped slits 12 are oppositely formed along the end edge parts of a rectangular plate-like member 11. The slits 12 are widened by pressing tongue piece portions 15 sectioned from the body of the plate member 11 by the U-shaped slits. The end parts of the fastening band B are fixedly held in the slits 12. To remove the fastening band B, the tongue piece portions 15 are pressed. Alternatively, the entire stopper 10 for the fastening band is inclined in a direction in which one end of the fastening band B extends flat, and then the fastening band B is pulled out.
