PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trap for small animal certainly trapping small animal without missing the animal. SOLUTION: In the trap comprising a seesaw plate installed in the trap box as to face to an entrance formed on the side of the trap box, the seesaw plate is set to balance so that it may incline toward back when the animal which invaded from entrance moves to the back, and the seesaw plate closes the entrance when the end of the entrance side of the plate passes the height of the top of the opening in the state when the animal which invaded from the entrance moves to the back and the plate inclined toward the back, and a lock mechanism keeping the seesaw plate downward inclining toward the back, wherein the locking mechanism is set to have two steps which comprise a first step of the entrance side end part of the plate make a gap between the top end of the opening, and a second step of closing the entrance by the end of the entrance side of the seesaw plate passing over the height of opening of the entrance.
