PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply configured direct-current power supply device that includes functions of suppressing power supply higher harmonics and improving power factor, with high efficiency and low noise. SOLUTION: The power supply device includes: an alternating-current power supply 1; a capacitor 3 connected in parallel with a load 2; first diodes 4a, 4b whose cathodes are connected to the positive pole of the capacitor 3; second diodes 6a, 6b whose anodes are connected to the negative pole of the capacitor 3 and whose cathodes are respectively connected to the lines from the alternating-current power supply 1; reactors 5a, 5b respectively connected between the anodes of the first diodes and the respective lines from the alternating-current power supply; third diodes 7a, 7b whose anodes are respectively connected to the anodes of the first diodes 4a, 4b and whose cathodes are connected in common; and a switching element 8 connected between the cathodes of the third diodes 7a, 7b and the negative pole of the capacitor 3.
