PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a file stored in an optional recording medium while reducing the time from insertion of the recording medium to the reproduction. SOLUTION: While an external recording medium 1 is connected to an interface part 2, a decoding means 8 selects file analysis information to be used for decoding processing based on comparison between new recording medium management information newly read from the external recording medium 1 and acquired recording medium management information stored in a storage means 9.
