FIELD: heating. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal engineering immediately dealing with removal of scale deposits from tubular heat exchanger inner walls. The method in based on provision for a prompt pressure drop within the purging zone. The required effect is due to introduction of substances into the purging zone whose ignition results in momentary burnup of atmospheric oxygen within the purging zone. This results in prompt pressure drop and rapid heating of the wall deposits conductive to the deposits cracking; the pneumatic shock that follows due to rapid flow of atmospheric air into the tube cavity serves to destroy the wall deposits and remove them from the tube. ^ EFFECT: development of a efficient method of removing scale deposits from tubular heat exchanger inner walls.
