<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyarylene sulfide resin, wherein, the method is markedly excellent in reactivity and high in productivity in an industrial scale, moreover can give a PAS resin having markedly high molecular weight. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyarylene sulfide resin includes reacting (a) a polyhalogenated aromatic compound, (b) an alkali metal hydrogen sulfide, and (c) an alkali metal organic acid salt in the presence of a solid alkali metal sulfide and a lithium ion, wherein, performing polymerization by adding water so that the total amount of water present in the reaction system against 1 mol sulfur atom becomes 0.9-5.0 mol at a time when at least 80 mol% of the total amount of the solid alkali metal sulfide and the alkali metal hydrogen sulfide (b) present in the reaction system when the reaction starts is consumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
