<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing for a recording medium where an image to be printed is recorded by a direct printing system. <P>SOLUTION: When a specified setting wherein a recording medium loaded in an image recorder is regarded as a printing medium is included as information on a setting reported from the image recorder, an image printer does not start printing image data of an image to be printed even when starting acquiring the image data of the image to be printed sent from the image recorder, but performs a printing operation using the acquired image data to be printed to the recording medium loaded as the printing medium based on a request to perform the printing operation from the image recorder after acquiring all the image data of the image to be printed.
