<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining an aromatic dihydroxy compound, by which a waste aromatic polycarbonate (for example, aromatic polycarbonate products such as unwanted sheets, CD, CD-ROM, DVD) can be treated at a low cost in a large amount to obtain the highly pure aromatic dihydroxy compound. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the method for obtaining the aromatic dihydroxy compound, comprising depolymerizing the waste aromatic polycarbonate resin in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide, characterized by treating the waste aromatic polycarbonate with a pneumatic classifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
