<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-chamber type air conditioner capable of reducing a draft feeling when the operation of a compressor is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-chamber type air conditioner comprises the compressor (not shown), an outdoor unit (not shown) having an outdoor heat exchanger (not shown) and an expansion valve (not shown), and a plurality of indoor units 20 connected by pipes to the outdoor unit. The indoor unit 20 is equipped with an indoor fan 8, an indoor heat exchanger 5, an upper blowout port 22a from which air heat-exchanged by the indoor heat exchanger 5 is blown out, a lower blowout port 22b (called "blowout port" hereinbelow), a shutter 30 for opening and closing at least one blowout port, and a shutter drive part (not shown) for driving the shutter 30. The multi-chamber type air conditioner operates the shutter 30 to fully close for a certain amount of time and then to open when the compressor 1 is stopped. When the compressor 1 is stopped, the draft feeling is reduced by closing at least one blowout port by the shutter 30, and after a certain passage of time, by opening the shutter 30, even when biting of foreign matter occurs, it can be easily taken out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
