PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cellulose based carbide which maintains stable quality without damaging cellulose skeletons, and achieves mass production. SOLUTION: The method for producing cellulose base carbide comprises: a saccharification stage 40 where a saccharified liquid is produced from cellulose based biomass by enzyme saccharification reaction; a fermentation stage 50 where the saccharified liquid produced in the saccharification stage is fermented, so as to produce ethanol; a distillation stage 60 where cellulose based saccharide is carbonized in the process of distillating the ethanol produced in the fermentation stage; and a separation stage 70 where the cellulose based carbide produced in the carbonization stage is separated from a distillation residual liquid.
