PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel conical mixing dryer can preventing adhesion of to-be-treated articles to the shaft of the rotary blade reliably. SOLUTION: The dryer carries out one or more of mixing, crushing and drying treatments of to-be-treated articles W with a rotary blade 28 arranged in an inverse-conical treating vessel 2. The shaft 25 of the rotary blade 28 is so structured as to allow a heat medium to circulate within it. The heat medium circulating within the shaft 25 can always keep the shaft 25 at desired high temperatures and thus avoids dew formation on the shaft 25 and resultant adhesion of the articles W to the shaft 25 reliably.
