PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional printer having operation efficiency improved by avoiding the interference of a three-dimensional-shaped surface of a material to be printed and a printer head in each other. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional-shaped printer for discharging ink from a printer head 85 on the surface 81 of the material 80 to be printed to carry out a prescribed printing is provided with a holding chuck 26 for holding the material to be printed, a first- to third-support members 10, 15, 20 for supporting the holding chuck movable in a space, a printer head carriage 4 for supporting the front end part 4a holding the printer head linearly movable to the material-to-be-printed held by the holding chuck, a light emitting element 87 and a light receiving element 89. The prescribed printing is stopped by a printer controller because inspection light 87b emitted from the light emitting element 87 is interrupted by the excessively approaching the material 80 to be printed and the light is not received by the light receiving element 89.
