FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling technologies. The proposed metal strip (1) fabrication method envisages passage of the metal strip (1) over multiple rollers (2, 3, 4, 5) with the strip tension (S) in the feed direction (F) being sufficient for the strip to remain basically smooth at least between the two rollers (2, 3). Inner tensions of the strip under stress become optically visible. One defines inner tensile strength or differential inner tensile strength with the values taken into consideration during metal strip (1) fabrication. To provide for inner tensile strength definition the metal strip (1) becomes exposed to radiation of a source of light (6) and surveyed by means of two cameras (7, 8) from two different sides. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of metal strip fabricated. ^ 1 dwg |
