<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus assuring reduction in size of the apparatus and enabling improvement in the cooling performance and also provide an electric vehicle provided with the same cooling apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling apparatus 10 is provided for cooling a switching module 98 including a switching element as a heating element. The cooling apparatus 10 includes a plurality of cooling fins 120 having coolant flowing path 102 for distribution of the coolant. The cooling fin 120 is provided with: a cut-away part 118 formed at the location corresponding to at least the center of chips 91, 92 constituting a switching module 98 in the distributing direction of the coolant; and a chamber 122 formed in the coolant flowing path 102 with the cut-away part 118. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
