PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit having safety measures, and improved in serviceability. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit includes an approximately rectangular casing having at least a front plate and a base plate 1, and a partitioning plate 5 for partitioning the inside of the casing, and equipment composing a refrigeration cycle is mounted in the casing. An end on one side of the partitioning plate 5 is arranged to be approximately vertical to the front plate. An air fan 3 for blowing air to a heat exchanger composing the refrigeration cycle is arranged on one side of a space in the casing partitioned by the partitioning plate 5. An end of the partitioning plate 5 positioned on a front plate side is bent in an approximately L shape in the opposite direction to a space in which the air fan 3 is arranged to be approximately parallel to the front plate, wherein the approximately vertical direction to the substrate 1 is a bending center axis. Furthermore, the end of the partitioning plate 5 bent in the approximately L shape is folded back at approximately 180°to the front plate side so that the approximate vertical direction to the substrate 1 is the bending center axis.
