摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-durable intermediate transfer medium in which the carrying of a toner image and transfer irregularities are reduced and remedied and mechanical characteristics are homogeneous, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the intermediate transfer medium. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer medium is a polymer sheet obtained by dispersing conductive particles in a polymer. An electric resistance distribution measured based on a measurement method for observing the potential distribution of a conductive polymer sheet in a film thickness direction by a surface potential microscopy (SPoM) is substantially the same in the surface direction of the intermediate transfer medium, and has a maximum value (Rmax) and a minimum value (Rmin) in the film thickness direction. The ratio Rmax/Rmin between the maximum value (Rmax) and the minimum value (Rmin) is 5 to 100 and the ratio Tt/Tb between film thickness (Tt) on the surface side to which the toner image is transferred of the polymer sheet in the film thickness direction divided in the position of the maximum value and film thickness (Tb) on the rear surface side of the polymer sheet in the film thickness direction divided in the position of the maximum value is 1.5 to 4.
