A method of operating a burner (14) comprises providing a fuel supply reservoir (10), placing a fuel containing an alcohol in the fuel supply reservoir (10), connecting the reservoir (10) to a control chamber (12) so that the fuel can flow from the reservoir (10) to the control chamber (12), connecting the control chamber (12) to the burner (14) so that the fuel can flow from the control chamber (12) to the burner (14), and providing a float valve (15) within the control chamber (12) for controlling the flow of the fuel from the reservoir (10) into the control chamber (12). |
