A tomographic system includes a drive means to assure that each of irradiation source and detection means composed of an imaging system moves relatively in a plane parallel to a fault plane with a tangential projection of a relative movement to a subject of one or the other of the irradiation source and detection means different from each other. Even on a reference plane or its neighboring area, therefore, variation in sensitivity can be reduced with contributing pixels, and deterioration in S/N ratio caused by variation in sensitivity can be improved. For example, when an X-ray tube is employed as an irradiation source and a flat-panel X-ray detector is employed as a detection means, each of the X-ray tube and the flat-panel X-ray detector moves relatively in a plane parallel to a fault plane with a tangential projection of a relative movement to a subject M of the X-ray tube and the flat-panel X-ray detector different from each other.
|
