PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge apparatus using a semiconductor switch having low pressure resistance. SOLUTION: The discharge apparatus is provided with at least a first semiconductor switch S<SB>1</SB>, a first loop composed of a coil L and a battery or a capacitor E, at least a second semiconductor switch S<SB>2</SB>, and a second loop composed of the coil L and a discharge resistor R. The discharge apparatus further includes discharge control means for controlling so that a voltage across the first semiconductor switch S<SB>1</SB>is a predetermined setting value or less.
