PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter or the like for controlling increase in loss while securing electric power resistant characteristic, in association with a longitudinal mode surface acoustic wave filter which is used as a reception filter in a PDC system that is one of domestic digital mobile-phone systems. SOLUTION: The acoustic wave filer includes at least one acoustic wave resonator 25 formed on a piezoelectric substrate 108, and a longitudinal mode acoustic wave filter 101. The acoustic wave resonator 25 and the longitudinal mode acoustic wave filter 101 are connected in cascade arrangement, and an electrode material of the acoustic wave resonator 25 and an electrode material of the longitudinal acoustic wave filter 101 are mutually different.
