PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, an electronic program guide generation apparatus, and a computer program which displays an electronic program guide simply, even if there are many pieces of program information should be written in, while improving user's visibility, moreover, rendering to the user program information efficiently without making the information of other program concealed. SOLUTION: When displaying in the electronic program guide the program information of a plurality of programs of an identical channel or a broadcast station sequentially broadcasted or broadcasted at an identical time zone, only the program name of one program among the plurality of programs is displayed in a variable display area demarcated by the earliest start time and the latest end time of the plurality of program, or by the time zone, and at the same time, that fact that the program name written into the variable display area is the program name of one program among the plurality of programs is outputted, the program name written into the variable display area according to user's instruction is sequentially rewritten to the program name of the other program among the plurality of programs.
