PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture plate comprising a lid for lateral ventilation, and simplifying sterile culture of cells, and culture products. SOLUTION: There are provided the culture plate, in particular, a culture plate comprising a lid wherein the peripheral sidewall of the lid is formed at least partially of at least one filter element made of a filter material. The culture plate enables the lateral and uniform ventilation of the culture plate even in a stacked arrangement of the culture plate, avoiding at the same time significant loss of a culture medium by evaporation.
