PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless terminal and a wireless communication method capable of avoiding usage of a channel in which its usage is forbidden. SOLUTION: The wireless terminal 10 performs communication with a wireless relay equipment 21. The wireless terminal 10 comprises a wireless reception portion 101, a storage portion 102, a channel attribute determination portion 103, a channel control portion 104, and a wireless transmission portion 105. The wireless reception portion 101 receives channel-specific information from the wireless relay equipment 21. The storage portion 102 stores a channel-in-use information group composed of channel-in-use information associated with a communication channel. The channel attribute determination portion 103 determines whether the channel-specific information belongs to the channel-in-use information group or not. When it is determined that the channel-specific information belongs to the channel-in-use information group, the channel control portion 104 generates a connection request signal for requesting establishment of communication connection with wireless relay equipments 21, 22, 23, and 24, using a communication channel identical to the communication channel specified by the channel-specific information at least.
