PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular image processing apparatus that determines an attribute of objects with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The vehicular image processing apparatus includes an onboard camera 10, a movement information calculation part 20 for calculating movement information about each pixel from image information that images objects, and a determination part 30 for determining to output an attribute of the objects according to the movement information about each pixel. The determination part 30 extracts a solid feature area of vertically continuous pixels having the same movement information according to the movement information about each pixel, and refers to a solid-unobservable area where the movement information calculation part 20 cannot calculate the movement information about pixels corresponding to solids, which is acquired in advance on the basis of vehicle speed, so as to determine that the object corresponding to the solid feature area is a planar body if the extracted solid feature area is included in the solid-unobservable area.
