PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural or horticultural fungicide having stable and high plant disease controlling effect. SOLUTION: The agricultural or horticultural fungicide comprises a pyridylamidine derivative expressed by formula (I) or its salt as an active ingredient. In the formula (I), either one of X1and X2is N and the other is CR3; Ar is a phenyl group which may be substituted with R6, a 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl group, a naphthyl group, a 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-naphthyl group or a pyridyl group which may be substituted with R6; Z is a single bond, O or OCH2; R1, R2, R3and R6are each independently a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a 1-6C haloalkyl group, a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkoxy group, a 1-6C haloalkoxy group, a cyano group, a nitro group, a 1-6C alkylcarbonyl group, a 1-6C alkoxycarbonyl group or an amino group which may be substituted with a 1-6C alkyl group; and R4and R5are each independently a 1-6C alkyl group.
