The present invention relates to Kimchi-based novel Lactobacillus plantarum BLS41, and more particularly, to Lactobacillus plantarum BLS41 having antifungal and antibacterial activities and to the use thereof. The Lactobacillus plantarum BLS41 of the present invention or pathogen growth inhibiting substances produced from the lactic acid bacteria are suitable for use in an environmentally friendly microbial agent and antibiotic free feed.
