PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an anisotropic magnetic material which obtains a bulk material containing magnetic particles controlled in their orientation.

SOLUTION: The process for producing the anisotropic magnetic material includes: a step of preparing a weakly magnetized material as a source material, the weakly magnetized material being transformed into a magnetic substance by reaction; a step of orienting the constituents of the material by applying an external magnetic field to the material, and a reaction step of transforming the material in an oriented state into a magnetic substance by the reaction.
