PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor unit with its structure and detection procedure sharply simplified since an electrolyte-containing sheet is used instead of an electrolyte in specifically detecting a tested substance by using photoelectric current generated through photoexcitation of a sensitizing dye, and a measuring instrument.

SOLUTION: This sensor unit used for specifically detecting a tested substance by using photoelectric current generated through photoexcitation of a sensitizing dye, includes a working electrode and a positioning member used for mounting the working electrode at a prescribed position. The specific detection of the tested substance is performed with the electrolyte-containing sheet held between the working electrode and a counter electrode.
