PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of articles as much as possible and apply constant alignment posture to the articles even when the gravity center of the articles is positioned at the appropriately center in the longitudinal direction of the articles, in an article alignment apparatus. SOLUTION: The article alignment apparatus 10 comprises an article alignment device 20 including two juxtaposed alignment tools 21 having cylindrical surfaces. By rotating the respective alignment tools 21 with a predetermined inclination angle with respect to the horizontal position maintained, the orientation of an article placed astride the cylindrical outer surfaces of the two alignment tools 21 is changed while the article is carried from the upper side to the lower side of the inclination.
