PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proxy system and a relay method for enlarging a condition that can accelerate data acquisition for a client by pre-fetching. SOLUTION: A manifest analyzing section 114 analyzes attribute data of a manifest stored in a manifest attribute storage section 115. A server receiving section 111 acquires manifest data or manifest incidental data from a server 120 according to the analyzed result of the manifest analyzing section 114 or at a request from a client receiving section 112. A cache section 113 caches the manifest data or manifest incidental data acquired by the server receiving section 111.
