PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device, which can adjust the temperature of ink without developing the deterioration of the ink, and an ink temperature adjusting method and a program employed by this device. SOLUTION: This image recording device is composed of: an image recording part 6 having at least one nozzle train 8 comprised of a plurality of nozzles; a second ink temperature detecting part 9, which detects the temperature of the ink stored in an ink chamber communicating with the nozzles; an ink passage 14, through which the ink is circulated between a first storage part 11 and a second storage part 12 with ink stored therein and the image recording part 6; a temperature adjusting part 16, which adjusts the temperature of the ink provided in the ink passage 14 by heating, a circulator 15, which circulates the ink provided in the ink passage 14 within the ink passage 14; a controlling part 17, which performs the controlling of the adjusting temperature of ink to the temperature adjusting part 16 and the controlling of the circulating flow amount of ink to the circulator 15 based on the temperature of the ink detected at a second ink temperature detecting part 9 from an ink circulating controlling part 19.
