PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm for a speaker, made of a magnesium alloy having superior corrosion resistance, without causing lowering of sound reproducibility, and to provide a manufacturing method for the speaker. SOLUTION: The diaphragm for the speaker used in a speaker unit is provided with a base material, made of the magnesium alloy and a polyurea film formed on the surface of the base material. The manufacturing method of the diaphragm for the speaker used in the speaker unit has a stage of forming the base material of the diaphragm for the speaker by the magnesium alloy; a stage of evaporating diamine components in vacuum, a stage of evaporating diisocyanate components in vacuum; and a stage of vapor-depositing the evaporated diamine components and diisocyanate components on the base material in vacuum, polymerizing the diamine components and the diisocyanate components on the surface of the base material, and forming the polyurea film.
