PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which has higher heat dissipation property, and to provide a mounting structure thereof. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the reactor having a core 1 and coils 2 formed around the core 1. The reactor has not a case wherein the core 1 with the coil 2 formed is stored and has a cooling medium flow passage 3 arranged near the coil 2. It is preferable that the core 1 has coil winding portions opposed to each other to be formed in a closed loop shape, the coils 2 are formed around the coil winding portions, and the cooling medium flow passage 3 is formed between the coils 2 opposite to each other formed around the coil winding portions.
