PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner, achieving favorable start-up of frictional charging, attaining stable density and image quality even in various environmental changes, and stably obtaining image output having excellent image grade even when copy a number of sheets. SOLUTION: The toner has a toner particle whose surface layer B is formed by fixing fine grains containing at least resin fine grains (b) on the surface of a base particle A containing at least binder resin, a coloring agent and a releasing agent. The mass of resin forming the surface layer B is 2.0-20.0 mass% to the mass of the base particle A, and the resin fine grain (b) contains resin having a polyester unit obtained by condensation polymerization of polyalcohol and polycarboxylic acid.
