PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens which achieves downsizing and a wider angle while suppressing deterioration of imaging quality. SOLUTION: The imaging lens is equipped with a first lens L1 having negative power, a second lens L2 having positive power and a diaphragm St, in order from an object side. In the first lens, the lens surface R4 on the object side of the first lens is an aspherical surface where its center part forms a shape turning a concave surface to the object side, and the lens surface R5 on an image side is an aspherical surface where its center part forms a shape turning a concave surface to the image side. In the second lens L2, at least one lens surface is an aspherical surface, and a center part of the lens surface R7 on the image side of the second lens L2 forms a shape turning a convex surface to the image side. Focal length f of the entire system of the imaging lens and a distance dt to an imaging surface R11 from the apex of the lens surface R4 of the first lens L1 satisfy a conditional expression: 0.03<f/dt<0.1.
