PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and cost of a damping device by simplifying an adjustment mechanism of natural frequency, to make the damping device naturally usable for other applications than a building or the like by downsizing, and to facilitate adjustment work. SOLUTION: This damping device of a double structure includes: a frame body A supporting additional mass in a relatively movable state with respect to a structure; and additional mass B located in the frame body A, having a shape similar to that of the frame body A, and having mass according to the structure; and is characterized by damping vibration of an object structure by adjusting the sizes of the frame body A and the internal additional mass B.
