PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable winning device for game machines, which prevents the illegal acquisition of prize balls by blocking the movement of a prize winning door to its opening position from the closed position, although the device has a simple structure, even when an external force is applied on the prize winning door as committed by a fraudulent attempt; and to provide a game machine with the same. SOLUTION: The linear displacement of a plunger 21 of a solenoid 20 causes the prize winning door 12 to be erected or leveled to close or open a prize winning slot 11. As for a slide member 40 and a rocking member 50 arrayed as a transmission mechanism 30 between the prize winning door 12 and the solenoid 20, a locking surface 54 is so formed on a guide part 53 as to make a protrusion 43 of the slide member 40 contact the rocking member 50. The blocks the rocking of the rocking member when the external force is applied to forcibly rotate the prize winning door 12 to its opening position from the closed position.
