<p>A power saving system for increasing the efficiencies of the power consumptions of devices mutually connected via a communication network comprises at least first and second devices connected to each other via the communication network. Each of the first and second devices comprises a transmitting/receiving part for transmitting/receiving control commands to/from the other device via the communication network; and an operating state switching part for switching, based on the received control commands, the operating states. Each of the first and second devices has, as the operating states between which the power consumption is different, a first off-operation mode in which the power supply is in off-state but the power is partially supplied and a second off-operation mode in which the power consumption is smaller than in the first off-operation mode. In the second device, in a case where the second device is in the first off-operation mode, when the transmitting/receiving part receives, from the first device, a control command that instructs a switching of the operating states, the operating state switching part switches the operating states from the first off-operation mode to the second off-operation mode.</p> |
