A method and a device for calculating a shift amount of an image pickup element, the image pickup element, and a device including the image pickup element are provided to improve a shading property even though a main ray feature of a photographing lens is largely deviated. A CRA sample point obtaining unit(102) obtains a sample point of 2 to 5 points among CRA feature values. A sample point shift amount calculating unit(103) obtains a sample shift amount in which a light concentrating rate is maximum. A shift amount feature function calculating unit(104) calculates a shift amount feature function. A shift amount calculating unit(105) calculates a shift amount of a light concentrating unit by using the shift amount feature function.
