PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect fracture of a metal foil tape as a shield to be supplied, in manufacture of a shielded wire. SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing a shielded wire includes: guide rollers 41; a separation detection sensor 42; a shaping part 43; and an extruder 13. The guide rollers 41 supplies a metal foil tape 22 as a shield to a running core 21 to be attached thereto. The separation sensor 42 detects whether the supplied metal foil tape 22 is separated from a running route of the core 21. The shaping part 43 has an inlet for the core 21 and the metal foil tape 22 on the downstream side of the separation detection sensor 42 in the running direction of the core 21, and shapes the metal foil tape 22 to wrap the core 21.
