PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic encoder and a wheel-use bearing device equipped with the magnetic encoder, capable of improving the operation of detecting a wheel rotational speed in reliability, without damaging a surface of a magnetic encoder detection part, in an operation of assembling the bearing and an conveying operation, prior to assembling operation. SOLUTION: The magnetic encoder 21 comprises: a slinger 22 composed of a cylindrical part 22a which is exteriorly engaged with the outer diameter part of an inner race 6, a standing plate part 22b radially expanding outward from the cylindrical part 22a, and an overlap part 22c radially expanding inward from the standing plate part 22b so as to be folded back; and the magnetic encoder detection part 23, which is bonded to the circumferential surface of the overlap part 22c of the slinger 22 in a vulcanized fashion, and has a multi-pole magnet made up by alternately forming magnetic poles in the circumferential direction.
