PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability and silence of a valve timing adjusting device. SOLUTION: This valve timing adjusting device has a driving side rotary body 10 interlocking and rotating with a crankshaft, a driven side rotary body 20 interlocking and rotating with a camshaft 2, a sun gear 12 having an internal gear part 18 and coaxially arranged with the driving side rotary body 10, a male screw member 14 for fastening the sun gear 12 to the driving side rotary body 10, and a planetary gear 50 for changing a phase between the rotary bodies of the driving side rotary body 10 and the driven side rotary body 20 by making planetary motion while meshing with the internal gear part 18 of the sun gear 12. The sun gear 12 also has a fastening part 100 forming an insertion hole 102 on the outer peripheral side more than the internal gear part 18 and fastened to the driving side rotary body 10 by the male screw member 14 inserted into the insertion hole 102, and a press-in part 110 arranged on the outer peripheral side more than the insertion hole 102 and pressing in the driving side rotary body 10.
