PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane filtration concentration method which can increase a sedimentation rate of solids in water to be treated by reducing moisture content of the solids in the water to be treated and reducing free water between the solids and interstitial water, which cannot be removed by the conventional method, and eliminates coexistence of organic matter by using an aluminum-based coagulant to improve coagulation efficiency of raw water in a settling tank. SOLUTION: In the membrane filtration concentration method, coagulated water obtained by adding a coagulant to raw water 1 and agitating the raw water is subjected to primary membrane filtration treatment 3, and then, in the process of treating reverse detergent drain generated in the primary membrane filtration treatment 3, the reverse detergent drain is received and stored in a drain tank 6 and the received and stored drain is intermittently subjected to secondary membrane filtration treatment 7 to form compact sludge.
