PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of applying a solution with a uniform concentration without using the solution with a high concentration even if the solution in a container is concentrated near the bottom part. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus comprises a container 1 for storing a solution 2, a coating head 3 for applying the solution 2, a tube 4 of which one end is connected to the coating head 3 and the other end is introduced into the container 1, a float 5 installed in the other end of the tube 4 and at the same time arranging the other end of the tube 4 in the solution 2, pressurizing means for pressurizing the solution 2 in the container 1 to supply the solution to the coating head 3 through the tube 4, and a leg part 8 for restricting downward movement of the float 5 when the other end of the tube 4 reaches a position parted from a prescribed distance from the bottom part of the container 1 along with the displacement of the surface of the solution 2 in the container 1.
