PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of manufacturing, using few man-hours, a cover unit which holds a sensor holder 8a, made of synthetic resin inside a cover 7a and is provided with a sealing structure for preventing infiltration of foreign matters inside, through a through-hole 14 formed in the cover 7a, and to provide a manufacturing method for the cover unit. SOLUTION: The sensor holder 8a is injection-molded to integrally join the sensor holder 8a to the cover 7a. The outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical part 17 of the cover 7a is covered with part of the sensor holder 8a for entire ring-like sealing member 18 held previously in the outer circumferential surface.
