The invention relates to a connection of a shaft to a rotating component, especially of a shaft (10) to a turbine wheel (12) of an exhaust gas turbocharger (16), an intermediate component (18) being used to indirectly connect the shaft (10) to the rotating component (12). The connection between the rotating component (12) and the intermediate component (18) is a form-locking and/or force-locking connection, especially a riveted connection. The invention further relates to a method for producing said connection.
