The device has an endless conveyor belt (2) movable between two end positions, which are formed by rollers, where an article is hung up on the conveyor belt by hand. An upper surface of the band is provided as a contact surface (5), where good perceivable symbols e.g. animal and artificial characters, are pasted on the contact surface. The band is guided over the rollers, which act as deflection pulleys. The symbols are designed as advertising media, and are produced on the surface during production of the band so that the symbols are integrated in the band.
