The element has a cover wood layer (2) and embossings (10) manufactured by a press stamp. A natural wood grain is optically strengthened by the embossings in the cover wood layer. The embossings are oblong formed, where an orientation takes place at a natural texture of the wood. The embossings extend beyond an abutting edge of two adjacent parquet base elements. The cover wood layer is surface-treated via oils, waxes, coating, color or pickling. The embossings are formed before or after the surface treatment.
