Pocket chain wheel and chain drive with same

The wheel has pockets rows movably arranged in a wheel circumferential direction and formed by chain links (10) opposite to a wheel axle (8) through pockets (3) limiting a base (4) and two cross webs. The chain links are fitted under an angle that amounts between 30 and 45 degrees. The height (H) of the cross webs forming a sprocket (5) of the wheel is sufficiently small to retard a contact between abaxial longitudinal brackets (11) of the chain links and surfaces (12) of heads of the sprocket. An independent claim is also included for a chain drive with a pocket chain wheel.
